Our love’s not that strong – haiku

Will the Haiku Be Unbroken

Our love’s not that strong
said the politician’s wife.
No interns for you!

Our love’s not that strong
that you can go on flirting
Knock it off right now!

Our love’s not that strong
It’s much stronger than you think
We’ve got it real good!

These are great! I really like the first two the best – they came off stronger to me. Maybe it is because there is a politician in one and the ideas of flirting in the other 🙂 The third one threw me off because it is so different than the other two, to me it lacks the personal references that the first two had. But, I also think the third one is interesting because you make it out to have a happier ending – and not such a negative feel, having it real good, when it started with love is not that strong – nice twist (and a positive one too ) Well Done !!

    • Melanie,
Thanks! The first two were fun and more along the theme if the original line I think but as a challenge to myself, I wanted to find a way to add a twist to turn the seemingly negative into a positive…

      Thanks again for the comments.
