About Stephen Kellogg
Poetry, Ponderings, Prose, Photos & Pounding out the Pathways
All at my blog... I hope you'll take a few minutes to wander around the site. Not all of what you read there will be happy or sad etc. but I trust my writings, photos etc will encourage, touch, inspire or just make you think….
I really appreciate feedback!!
Thanks and enjoy
Peace!
Stephen Kellogg
All of my writings, pictures etc are original works, unless otherwise noted, and should be considered copyrighted.
So I see you have been hiding your skills – this is amazing !!!!!!!!!
Mel,
lol thanks… I really only have about 2 or 3 things I’ve sketched… this being the best one in my opinion. Sketching is yet again something else I’ve wanted to dabble in but it goes in the same list as writing a story, playing the guitar etc, etc… just need to make more time for it all.
If only I didn’t have to Work, Eat or Sleep… I might be able to get more done 😉 Of course the increase in work lately is causing a decrease in sleep and an increase in eating (although I’ve started working on the last one)… hmmm…
Thanks
Stephen
Hey, Stephen, a drawing! Bravo! I like your linework and you captured the petals curling! More!
Leslie,
Thanks for the encouragement. It means a lot coming from such a talented artist as you. I really have done very little with drawing but I enjoy it when I do take the time. There’s just seems to be so little of that thing called time these days. Hoping some things will slow down a soon.
Thanks again
Stephen
I was inspired by your drawing, Stephen and wrote a haiku for you!
Mind you, I am not a poet but I tried! 🙂
Learning to make lines
I took out a pen and drew
Just for you, a rose.
Leslie,
thanks so much… before you know it you’ll be writing poetry for your own paintings… then what will I do.
It’s a great haiku
Thanks again, it means a lot!
Stephen
This is really good, I like how you have captured the flower and how it is coming from one of the corners of the page, really like this =) I have taken up sketching as a hobby but I would never be able to draw something as good as what you have done =)
Zara,
Don’t sell yourself short. I hope to one day do some more sketching. I’ve actually done very little with it but it was enjoyable.
I think right now I work on poetry as it is less time consuming than drawing something like that rose. FYI, I looked at a picture in a large flower book and just tried to sketch what I saw there. Maybe that would help you. If you really want to see some good artistry, take a look at my friend Leslie’s blog.
Most of what I’m focusing on right now is writing and she has inspired me to write several poems based on her work.

Thanks for the compliments and for looking around. If you like poetry, please continue to peruse my blog, you may find something else you like.
Peace,
Stephen
This has helped me a lot and I have already found myself to have improved on my original sketches as I can pick out the detail from other peoples work and interpret that into my own.
Your friend Leslie is a very talented artist and so I would like to congratulate her on the work that she has produced.
I have also written one poem and realised that I can express my feelings better on a piece of paper than physically, this really helped.
Thank you for taking the time to reply back to me and like I say, this has really helped me to improve and express myself.
