Step out and show, You’re hiding there – Double Triolet with a final couplet in refrain

So I’m now trying out my own (instead of a response to), Double Triolet. I’ve taken my inspiration from the Double Triolet’s that K. McGee did on her blog as well as a recent photo I’ve seen. Can you spot it?

Step out and show, You’re hiding there

Step out and show the full view
Open eyes into your soul
Out where we can know you
Step out and show the full view
Not just one eye, but two
Knowing you is our goal
Step out and show the full view
Open eyes into your soul

You’re hiding out of view
Half faced stare it seems
Partial teeth, half a nose, one eye instead of two
You’re hiding out of view
Pretty smile blocked too
Squinted eye, it does confuse, brown, blue or green
You’re hiding out of view
Half faced stare it seems

Step out and show the full view
Open eyes into your soul
