I wanna go, my heart says so – New song by Stephen Kellogg – Original

Last night on the way home from work I stopped at a red light and the first line of this song popped into my head… So, I clicked the voice recorder on my phone and out came the rest. Love it when it happens that way. Got home, typed it out, tweaked a word here and there then recorded it and went to bed. Enjoy!

Words below video:

I wanna go, my heart says so

I wanna go, my heart says so

I wanna go, but the red light says no
I wanna go, but the red light says no
I wanna go, cause the soul said so
I wanna know, but the heart just says it isn’t so

I wanna go, but your body says no
I wanna go, but your body says no
My mind says yes
But my heart says take it slow
I wanna go, cause inside I know

Will you be true as the years go by
Will you be there when I break down and cry
I don’t know why but my heart says no
It’s time to go
It’s time to go

I wanna go, but the red light says no
I wanna go, but the red light says no
I think I’ll turn right
And mosey  down the road
Red light ain’t gonna stop me
When my heart says to go

I love you baby, love your lovin’ ways
Love you baby, but I don’t think you’re here to stay
I love you baby, but I think it’s time to go
It’s time to go
My heart told me so
