Moonbeams and you – Poem

Moonbeams and you

Moonbeams reach up and grab the tops of trees
Pulling slowly and steadily
The crown of the moons head crests
Within a few minutes, it’s full smile drowns me with love

I sit, pondering, drifting off into no thought
Absorbing the beauty
Circling back to thoughts of you
Not knowing who you are
Where you are

Are you seeing the same beautiful moon
Has it crept over the trees near you
It’s full smile shining brightly
To lighten up your eyes

Do you sit and ponder
Or have you drifted back inside
To bed
Alone
Wondering what the future holds

Will we ever meet
I dare to hope so
Until then sweet one
sweet dreams may you know
