Armpits, who knew – Poem

So I wrote this somewhat off poem as I was thinking about various responses to different presentations of poetry. I wrote it, once again, on one of my drives home after staying late at work. I thought I would add to it, but it seems to be complete, at least for now. Poetry and other forms of art / expression come is so many different flavors. I love the fact that I’m part of a community that likes to discuss these various forms. And if it’s been a little while since I’ve said thanks to those that read and especially those that comment on my posts, well… Thank you!!! Now.. on to Armpits!

Armpits, Who knew

It’s an armpit

Sometimes it stinks
Sometimes it smells great
Sometimes it’s covered up with long sleeves
Sometimes it’s left flapping in the wind

I’m glad my armpits have hair
On a woman? Not so much
Others may prefer it
Who knows

It’s an armpit

Sometimes they’re for lifting
Other times forgotten
Cause other parts are showing

It’s an armpit, who knew

It’s a poem
