When I thought what you knew – Response Poem

 

You wrote a letter
And I received
Your words, I smiled and sat

You asked, I’m fine
You said you are too
And left blank space for me to use

I sealed my response
Sent it on its way
Pleased you left me room

Your meaning lost
Now filled with me
Alas, too late, now I see
