BloomWhereYouHaveBeenPlanted – acrostic – NaPoWriMo2013

As sometimes happens, I see a sentence or phrase, this time on a Niece-in-loves FB post “Bloom where you have been planted” and it grabs me enough to make an acrostic. This one doesn’t seem to flow as well as some of my other ones… but here it is anyway.

  1. Alice Keys says:

Definitely FUN. I have to try one of these. You get a saying and make a word starting with each letter that adds up to a poem?

  2. Alice,
That’s the idea, and how I typically do them, although some folks also use the first letter to start a full sentence and turn that into a poem.

    For instance….

    POEM

Plenty of ways to do them.
    One only has to start.
    Echo your inner feelings.
    Messages from the heart.

Ha.. gonna post that now 😀

For a fun challenge, do what I call an ABC…Z acrostic. Search ABC on my blog for some examples…
