Journey – Poem – NaPoWriMo2013

Journey

 

Do you see where you are on your journey
Do you only look five feet ahead
Are you thinking about your future
Or holding a gun to your head

Is it smoking or stress maybe gluttony
Or something less obvious still
Do you feed your sorrow with hatred
Or your venom on others spill

Do you work to nurture your inside
The outside will oft follow suit
Are you living your life looking forward
To a future you have built
