the window in my living room (response poem)

A quick response poem to whimsy~mimsy‘s poem the window in my living room.

the window in my living room (response poem)

Between us pain, empty double shot glasses
Insulation, protection in an empty space
Lungs, air trapped motionless
I hear your lips moving on the other side
Without seeing what you are actually saying
